Testimonials & Scor-it Fan Mail

Just want to say I LOVE the large Scor-it!  It is so easy to use and makes your projects look like store bought and better actually! I make Greeting cards, water fall cards, small booklets etc.--- it is the best thing slice sliced bread!  As the saying goes.

Appreciate all of your neat ideas for the use of the Scor-it too!

Thank you, D. George

I just wanted to drop a line to the makers of the Scor-it Tool to say thank you. This tool saved my wedding invites. I'm doing pocketfold invitations and my fiance and I picked out beautiful brown metallic paper. To our horror, when we tried to fold it and score it in the normal way, the paper would crack and we could see the black underneath.

I found the Scor-it Tool online and the dealer said if it didn't work, I could send it back, but she had tried metallic paper on the tool and it worked. I wasn't sure, but I ordered the Scor-it Tool anyway, hoping it would mean I could use the paper I wanted.

I was amazed and thrilled to discover the Scor-it Tool did actually work - no, wait, it didn't just work, it worked wonders! Not a crack in sight!

I am so thrilled. Thank you so much for making such a fantastic product!

I recently got back from a week-long teaching stint on Vancouver Island at the 27th International Conference for Calligraphy. I demonstrated the Scor-it board in my class room and set up a scoring station for the students to use. The board was a huge hit and most of my students bought one the first day and used their own board for the rest of the workshop.

I also demoed the board at one of the 'serendipity' events in the evening after the lecture. This demo, and several other smaller demos the same evening, attracted big crowds. I have attached photos, including one with me and Suzanne Cannon, who was one happy camper.

Yes, I do love the Scor-it "tool toy" and I teach with it constantly.  Not only is it the best scoring tool on the market but it dry embosses your paper like a dream, creating decorative panels where there was only once paper!  Made of quality materials this tool shines where others fail!  I have had several customers / students who have purchased the less expensive, plastic one and after taking one class with me, where they used your Scor-it tool, have decided to give the cheaper version to their children and have bought yours.

I've been writing product reviews for magazines for over a decade and I can count on one hand the products that make me happy day after day, week after week, for years on end.  The Scor-it Board is on the short list.  It's a versatile, durable, tool that makes my paper crafting life a pure joy.

Well, I received my Scor-It tool from GHM... stuck it under my table, forgot about it ... till I had to score and fold a dozen cards for a swap this morning, so I broke it out... and... I AM IN LOVE!! It is the greatest!! Super easy to use, no learning curve, lightweight, and it doesn't even take up as much space as I anticipated it would. It's about 12" x 14" and less than an inch thick. And it makes an absolutely professional-looking score.

I am now a member of the why-didn't-I-buy-this-sooner club. I will never hand-score a card again. Period.

Thank You, Lucy G

The Scor-it tool is absolutely fantastic! I use it on all my projects requiring scores. The centering ruler makes it easy to place valley or mountain scores precisely, and the adjustable stop guide saves valuable time doing production work. The resulting 'hinge-scores' are far superior to my previous scores made with a bone folder or paper clip. Scor-it is the coolest tool I've ever seen for papercrafters and bookbinders. I highly recommend Scor-it to ANYONE who works with paper.

How do I love thee, my Scor-it Board, let me count the ways… I came across the ‘Scor-it’ Board at the Stitches Trade Show in Birmingham, England, in February 2007. Being a seasoned crafter, one tends to look at new ‘tools’ with a somewhat jaundiced eye. However, as a demonstrator for Kuretake products – they make the most divine heavyweight vellums, and glorious colours of papers – I had found that the popular scoring boards were just not up to the ‘mark’ with our product.

The Scor-it Board proved an instant success! Coping with all types of card and paper and particularly Vellum with no problems – no wandering ‘off the track’, didn’t tear the paper or card… in short absolutely brilliant.

I have not been parted from my board since… I’ve used it for everything - making impressively professional scored folds in cards, to complex embossed patterns & decorative touches on scrapbook pages – on card, paper, vellum and thin metal sheet. Simple to use, it adds an impressive look to any project.

It is heavy-ish, not particularly portable, buy hey! That’s great! It stays put where I want it. So simple to use, has an Imperial or Metric measurement ruler. I might share it with girlfriends, but they cannot borrow it!!

I would recommend this to everyone!

Since discovering the Scor-It board I feel that my creativity has reached heights that I had previously thought unachievable. The ingenius design of the board allows me to use larger pieces of card to create folds which would not have been possible on boards I already owned. Books and boxes are now a dream to produce and I would recommend any papercrafter to get this board whether they are professional or home crafters.

An absolute must for your crafting toolbox.

Kind Regards, Sheila

I ordered a Scor-It while CS was having a recent sale.  I thought "Oh, I'll probably find it handy once in awhile ... and it'll probably get dusty the rest of the time."

From the moment I opened the package, I went from thinking of the Scor-It as an overpriced frivolity to seeing it as one of my best investments in quality papercrafting tools.  It is so easy to use, makes perfect scores, and is far more versatile than I imagined.  Even though I'm barely a dabbler compared to most here, I have used it almost daily, and then some. I've used it for marking and folding cards, tags, envelopes, small gift boxes, and for decorative touches on all kinds of paper and cardstock.  For many items, I don't need to measure anything in advance - it's all measured and scored in a single quick step.  And everything I score is a snap to do!

Things I'd have been too lazy to score for folding before (and so I would just use a bone folder on them), now get prepped with a quick zip and folded neatly on the spot.  For perfect fit envelopes and boxes, I just measure my item-to-be-enclosed right on the Scor-It board leaving a little allowance on the target paper or cardstock; then I score where needed, and use those scores as guides for either folding or cutting as needed.  A quick nip with a corner rounder here and there if needed, and ... voila ... neat perfect envelopes or boxes every time and in a jiffy!

I've barely begun with it, and it's already it's one of the best used investments in my tool chest.  I rate it right up there with my paper cutter and tape gun.  I thought I would relegate it to a closet or shelf to keep it out of my way (and then probably forget I have it, or think it too much trouble to pull out ...).  Instead, can't part with it from my side.  I stand it on end so it takes up almost no space, and is ever-ready.  I realize it seems pretty pricey (it seemed that way for me too ... that' s why I waited so long for a sale, cheapskate that I am, LOL), but it is well worth the cost.

Individual mileage will vary, but I for one am sold on it ... in case it isn't obvious already, ha ha.

Regards, Kathy Jo

I recently purchased a Scor-it Board and I think it is fabulous. I enjoy making cards as a hobby, especially the creative process of designing them, and I like them to be scored properly as well for an attractive finish. Some of the cardstock that I have scored with other tools cracked at the fold where I scored it, but I noticed that this did not happen when I used the Scor-it Board. What a difference professional scoring makes. The design of the board is simple but it works well. You have put out an excellent product.

Thank you, Irvina Wallace

I wanted you to know that one of your Scor-it Boards was purchased by a friend of mine that has MS...I just got an e-mail from her (husband brought it home to her) and she was going to try it for a few minutes...well when she e-mailed me it had been 3 hours that she had been playing with her new toy...she was encouraged to start rubber stamping by a friend about 10 months ago and it has been so good for her...so on that note I want to thank you for making your invention and know that there is a woman with MS in Maine enjoying it immensely.

Thanks again, Robyn L.
