Project - Accordian Book with Jacket

This project we featured artist Kay Williamson of Greenville, WI.
The
Scor-itTM board helped in the creation of her Accordian Book with Jacket.

This jacket folio is created to fit a 4x6 accordion, perfect for housing photos from a single event, pictures of the kids and/or grandkids, or anything your heart desires! The best part is that you need only four sheets of coordinating paper and a few other simple supplies for great results.

Supplies Used:
(4) 12x12 Club Scrap® Cardstock (Farmer’s Market Brown Print)
Ribbon
Die Cut Tag
Rubber Stamps and Ink
Club Scrap Bookbinding Glue and Foam Brush
Photos

Tools Used:
Scor-itTM Board
Paper Cutter
Scissors
Corner Rounder

Making the Jacket:
Create outside folio by scoring at 3.75 and 3.25 inches from outside edge of the right and left side of paper. Score at 2.75 and 2.25 inches from outside edges of the top and bottom of paper.

Use scissors to trim out corners, using the inside 3.75 and 2.75 score lines as a guide. Stop cutting where the lines intersect to form a corner.

Round corners of each flap with a corner rounder, if desired.

Stamp and decorate the folio jacket.

Making the Accordion:
Trim two 12x12 sheets in half at 6” to make four 6x12 pieces.

Score vertically every four inches, creating three pages per sheet when folded on the score lines.

To create desired accordion length, glue scored pages together back to back.

Add photos and decorate inside accordion.

Glue back accordion page onto back inside of folio jacket. Wrap and tie ribbon around jacket for closure.
